Scooby and Me
Six years ago I found Scooby in an RSPCA kennel. He had been found chained up in a concrete yard and was a sorry sight. He had clearly been mistreated and had received very little human kindness.
I took him home fearing he would never warm to another human ever again.
How wrong I was!!
Two days into his life with me Scooby’s real character came to the surface and what a fun filled six years we’ve had.
Scooby is the only dog I know that races to the vets front door with excitement, tail wagging, despite having six years of health issues and enduring many unpleasant medical procedures.
Despite my best efforts I have never managed to wear him out. He comes to the Lake District with me every year for 5 days of constant walking and at the end of each day, when I’m falling into a chair exhausted, he is still eager for more.
Scooby has seen me through some tough times in my life and I truly consider him to be my very best friend. His boundless energy, his hilarious character and enthusiasm for just about everything is an inspiration.
Cheers to you Scooby!
